Label Philosophy

Above all else, Love.

Scalora the Label values transparency, inclusivity, and, above all else, love. Whether it's the makers of our products, the providers of our materials, our customers, or the planet. Every one of these pieces is equally crucial to the smooth operation of a small business.

As of now, everything is produced in our Philadelphia studio by myself, though I can hardly claim I am a one-woman show. Always supported by friends and family, I wouldn't be able to do this alone.

Materials are always sourced from other small businesses or artisans, upcycled, or deadstock. Absolutely every scrap of material is put to use in some way, waste never leaves the studio until it is given a second life.

When you order custom work, you'll be encouraged to be a part of the design process. Although "custom" already implies that the piece is made for you, opt to take the opportunity to really get involved in the process of choosing your materials, colors, and any extra bits that help you feel connected to your new garment so you can wear it proudly. I hope when you wear your Scalora the Label piece, you can feel the care and passion put into every aspect of it, and in turn you take care of it so it lasts lifetimes.

Let's Close the Loop.

We hope that you will care for and love your Scalora the Label piece for generations, but we also know what happens when you love your things a little too hard.

Need a repair?

We know our sweaters are investment pieces, and we want you to get every bit of wear out of them. If you ever need a repair, you can send it back for a little on-the-house mending.

If you ever grow tired of your piece, or it is beyond fixing, send it back instead of donating or throwing it away. The textiles can be recycled or repurposed into something new. Reach out, I'll even send you a shipping label!
